December was a busy month for the whole team here at NPT Management Systems. Not only did we have the big guy in red to worry about, but we also conducted surveillance audits for three different companies.
SpiralWeld, a Southampton-based company that provides specialist engineering services for a variety of different industries. David Store Navigational Management a Hampshire-based navigational management service provider within the superyacht industry and Southern Coating Contractors, another Southampton-based company working in the grit blasting and specialist coating industry all received surveillance audits to ensure they were adhering the principles and processes implemented throughout their individual ISO certifications.
We are incredibly proud to announce that all three companies passed their surveillance audits without a single non-conformance. Meaning all of the systems that were put in place during their ISO certification and creation of their quality management systems are still being performed and conducted effectively.
These are the latest success stories that NPT Management Systems are pleased to share and hope they are not the last. We look forward to continued work and a healthy relationship with SpiralWeld, David Store Navigational Management and Southern Coating Contractors in the future.
If you require any assistance with a quality management system or with achieving ISO certification, please do not hesitate to contact NPT Management Systems today.

Marketing is a very crowded and competitive industry, so marketing agencies really have to go above and beyond to persuade potential clients that they're the best choice. This applies to digital marketing agencies and traditional (offline) marketing companies alike - no matter what sort of customers you work with, you're bound to be competing against numerous other marketers for every contract.
For this reason, it's important to do whatever you can to make your organisation stand out from the crowd. One of the best ways to achieve this? Implement an effective quality management system (QMS) and get your company ISO 9001 certified.
What does ISO 9001 mean for marketing agencies?
Gaining ISO 9001 status will demonstrate to potential clients that you are:
- Committed to delivering a high-quality service
- Able to work in an organised, streamlined manner
- A truly professional business to work with
Any of these qualities may very well set you apart from the many other marketing agencies you're up against - if you're looking to boost your business and deliver the very best for your valued customers, ISO certification is a great way to start achieving this.

Recruitment agencies work with both employers and jobseekers to make sure that the right people are matched to the right roles. Recruitment is a very competitive industry with a huge number of agencies constantly vying for work, and so recruitment companies have to provide a truly high-quality service in order to be successful.
This is where ISO 9001 certification can be hugely beneficial. ISO 9001 is a universal standard for quality management systems across all sectors, and implementing an ISO 9001-compliant QMS within your recruitment company is an especially effective means of ensuring the quality of your services and the efficiency of your processes.
The benefits of ISO 9001 certification for recruitment agencies
- Enhance the quality of your offering and achieve continuous improvement
- Boost customer/client satisfaction (this can lead to additional work as people will be more likely to recommend your agency to others)
- Streamline your processes and minimise waste within your organisation
Achieving the ISO 9001 standard will also give potential clients extra peace of mind when they're considering working with your agency, as it demonstrates your organisation's commitment to quality, outstanding customer service and continuous improvement.
If you would like to achieve ISO 9001 certification, please contact NPT Management Systems to discuss your requirements. We have helped numerous UK recruitment agencies to get certified quickly and with minimal hassle.

Recognised in all industry sectors all over the world, ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. It serves as a framework that allows any organisation of any size in any field to implement an effective quality management system (QMS) and consistently improve quality over time.
Planning and implementing an ISO 9001-compliant QMS is a smart move for any business owner because of the following benefits:
- It focuses efforts on delivering high-quality products/services and ensuring customer satisfaction
- It ensures that every part of your organisation is working towards the same goal
- It helps to eliminate waste throughout your operations
- It establishes a system for continuous improvement within your business
Once your QMS is in place, you will need to apply for ISO 9001 certification by using an independent UKAS-accredited body. Of course, you will still benefit from the implementation of a well-planned QMS even if you choose not to get certified, but gaining ISO 9001 certification is useful because:
- It is a requirement for winning work in certain sectors
- It forces you to maintain your QMS in order to pass surveillance audits
- Most importantly, it demonstrates to potential customers/clients that you are a high-quality business
If you are interested in implementing a quality management system and getting your company ISO-certified, contact NPT Management Systems today - we work with businesses throughout the South of England, and we specialise in ISO 9001 certification.

Related: What Are The Benefits of ISO Certification?
Achieving ISO 9001 certification can be a huge boon for a business. Not only does this accreditation inspire confidence in potential customers, but it can also open the door to a number of lucrative contracts (in the UK defence industry, for instance) that specify ISO certification as a requirement.
However, many companies that potentially stand to benefit from ISO 9001 certification shy away from pursuing because of the cost. If you're worried that ISO 9001 certification will put too big a dent in your organisation's finances, we at NPT Management Systems may be able to help...
How we can help you to save money
We have been helping businesses to secure ISO 9001 certification for many years, and during our time in this industry, we have forged close ties to a number of independent UKAS-accredited certification bodies. Getting certified via one of these bodies is one of the most costly parts of the ISO 9001 process, but interestingly, not all certification bodies charge the same amount - and that's where we come in.
If you get in touch with NPT Management Systems and explain your certification requirements to a member of our team, we will gather certification quotes from the many UKAS-accredited bodies to whom we have ties. We will then pass the best quotations along to you so that you can make a final decision.
This comparison service is totally free of charge. If you'd like to find out more regarding the cost of iso 9001 certification, please email enquiries@nptmanagementsystems.co.uk today.
