Baker Trayte Marine Ltd, a company located in Portsmouth, Hampshire that specialises in a variety of marine-based work recently undertook a surveillance audit with us to ensure that the quality management system (QMS) that we helped to implement three years ago was being adhered to.
As a result of achieving ISO 9001 accreditation, Baker Trayte Marine has been successful in being awarded a number of high-value contracts. It came as no surprise, then, when the team here at NPT Management Systems got the call to conduct yet another ISO audit for Baker Trayte. Ensuring that they continue to effectively carry out the QMS that we successfully helped to implement in 2016.
We are extremely pleased to announce that Baker Trayte has once again passed their surveillance audit without a single non-conformance raised – showing that the business is working hard and striving to conduct the numerous processed and procedures outlined in their QMS.
This is the latest success that we have achieved with Baker Trayte Marine Ltd, and sincerely hope it is not the last!

Anchor Systems (International) Ltd based in West Sussex, England, is a company that supplies high-quality ground anchoring systems throughout the UK and many countries across Europe. Back in 2007, Anchor Systems implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) to help them achieve their business objectives but realised that it needed improvement, so they contacted us in 2015 to help.
We assisted in the design and implementation of a new, easier-to-follow QMS that would make completing day-to-day operations more efficient and effective. We were pleased to see Anchor System's achieve the goal that they set out and was confident that they would become a more successful company as a result.
However, as we helped improve their QMS in 2015, it was time for a surveillance audit to assess whether Anchor Systems were implementing the updated QMS. We are proud to announce that Anchor Systems passed their audit and have been recommended for ISO 9001:2015 re-certification, allowing them to continue their great work in providing exceptional products and services across the world as well as a creating a functional workplace environment.
This is yet another successful milestone in our relationship with Anchor Systems, which can hopefully continue to grow.

Last week we revisited used car sellers Imperial Car Supermarkets, whom we helped to achieve ISO 9001 certification back in January 2016. The purpose of this visit was to assist the Imperial team with an ISO 9001 surveillance audit - their first since obtaining ISO 9001 accreditation last year - and we are happy to report that our client came through the audit with zero non-conformances raised.
Back at the beginning of last year, NPT Management Systems helped Imperial Car Supermarkets to plan and implement an effective QMS (Quality Management System), then apply for ISO 9001 certification via a UKAS-accredited body. However, we didn't fall out of touch with them over the intervening period - throughout 2016, we helped Imperial Car Supermarkets with:
- Conducting internal audits
- Providing internal auditor training
- Chairing management review meetings
Last week's surveillance audit was just the latest success in our working relationship with ICS, and we believe there are many more successes still to come.
